Being a book lover I can say I have read an abundance of christian chick-lit and am always avidly looking for more. Being that I am an adult I tend to stick to the adult section. Yet I was willing to stray for Jenny B. Jones' The Charmed Life series. I have read the first two books So Not Happening and I'm So Sure and am biting at the bit to read the third, So Over My Head. What I loved about these books is that they kept me interested the whole time. They are about Isabella Kirkwood and her life from riches to rags. After a parental split Bella is forced to move from her glam life in NYC to her new step-dad's farm in Oklahoma. From there you can be assured comedy and calamity ensue. The books are laugh out loud funny. If I can be found giggling into my latte I am impressed. Not only did the books hold humor they also held intrigue and a hint of romance. All three elements combined together kept coming back for more. More and more I am finding it difficult to find a clever chick-lit but I found one (or three in this case.) I just had to skip over to the teen section to do so. So grab your pumpkin spice latte and this series. You won't be dissappointed with either!
